COLLON CURA LODGE

An intimate retreat with unrivalled access to the lower Collón Curá River, boasting 30 miles of private access to fish from.

Unbeatable access to the lower Collón Curá.

The aptly named Collón Curá Lodge sits right on the banks of the lower Collón Curá River in Northern Patagonia. Located on a privately owned 75,000-acre estancia, the lodge guarantees complete privacy and a huge range of possible beats on the river. It is an enviable location, which gives it unique access to some of the very best stretches of water the river has to offer.

Easily accessible at only 45 minutes from the airport, Estancia Collón Curá provides an intimate base from which to explore both the Collón Curá and the Limay River.

Fishing.

Collón Curá Lodge provides excellent access to the best sections of the Collón Curá River, and is located right on its lower stretch.

The estancia on which it is based provides private access to more than 30 miles of the river, perfect for both floating and wading and enjoying the river’s riffle pools. Towards the end of the season, the lodge offers exclusive access to one of the prime beats of the river, just a short drive away.

Another serious bonus of staying at this lodge is its access to the Limay River. Although still a decent drive away at 90 minutes, the lodge provides a launch pad from which to fish the big browns of the Limay towards the end of the season.

It’s also a great location from which to reach the Caleufu River, another prime fly fishing spot.

Accommodation.

Warmly traditional, the lodge is equipped with four comfortable double rooms for up to eight guests, all with private bathrooms. A shared living room and separate dining room provide all you need for a relaxing evening after a rewarding day on the water.

Offering total tranquillity, guest accommodation is housed separately from the main lodge building in a standalone cabin close by.

Dining.

With expertly prepared, delicious food, the dining at Collón Curá Lodge is authentically Argentinian. The hospitality is very much full house service focused: you won’t lack for anything here.

Cocktails and a picada (the Argentinian hors d’oeuvres) are always on offer to anglers returning from the river. The evening dinners which follow are refined yet relaxed, featuring dishes like tender Argentinian Angus and Hereford beef or lamb cooked on the cross.

The lodge provides a continental breakfast, featuring in-house-baked bread, and, for those with a sweet tooth, the popular dulce de leche. The lodge also provides shore-side river lunches complete with the staple Argentinian malbec.

Off the water.

As a purpose-built fishing lodge, Collón Curá Lodge is best enjoyed by those who are there to fish.
